We screenprint 95% of Mercht garments, and use DTG printing on some lower selling, high colour campaigns (Eg. 10 units with 7 colours print) to help keep minimum quantities and profit margins as low as possible.
Nothing, nada, zilch! It's free for you to create and set-up your campaign on Mercht - all the production, handling, and shipping costs are covered by your buyers' orders. Give it a whirl!
We accept file uploads in PNG, JPEG, and SVG formats. Your file can be a maximum size of 20MB, and the maximum canvas size should be 4250 x 5900 pixels.
For best results, please ensure your background is transparent.
The Mercht website is compatible with the following browsers:
If you're on a mobile device, please switch to a tablet or computer to use the TeeBuilder functionality.
Using one of the above, and still having problems? Drop us a line at hello@mercht.com and we can take a look for you.
If you're unsure about the suitability of your design for the printing process then you can drop us a line at hello@mercht.com and we can take a look and let you know!
Alternatively, if you upload your design on the TeeBuilder and create a campaign, it automatically gets sent to us for approval before it goes live. We check all artwork over before approving your campaign to ensure it's suitable for print, and if we have any issues we will get in touch with you.
Our customer experience team is in the office between 8:30am and 5:30pm Monday through Friday. If you submit your campaign within those times, it will likely be approved within 1-2 hours of submission. If you submit your campaign outside of those times, it will be approved when the customer experience team is next available - e.g. if your campaign is submitted Sunday morning, it will go through the approval process on Monday morning.
You can't modify or edit your design at all once your campaign is live. If you have made an error in your design and want the campaign cancelled, please email hello@mercht.com with your campaign details and we will be able to close the campaign for you, and cancel all orders.
You can edit your campaign description, title, and add or remove supporting material whilst your campaign is live, however these changes will need to be actioned and approved by a member of the Mercht team. Drop us a line at hello@mercht.com and we can help you out.
You can choose to run your campaign for 7, 14, or 21 days. We tend to recommend 14 days, but you choose what works best for you. Campaigns will end at midnight on their end date (so if your campaign is approved at 10am on Monday and runs for 7 days, it will end at 12 midnight the following Monday).
Not at all! Our minimum print run is ten items, so as long as you make ten sales your design will go to print. Sometimes people like to set a target to motivate buyers, or if they're trying to raise a specific amount of money, but you don't have to do that. It's entirely up to you.
Occasionally a buyer may cancel their order before (or when) the campaign closes, reducing your total sales figure. Sometimes a buyer's payment method can't be verified and the charge completed too. We do contact buyers if their payment fails, but if we can't retake the payment that will affect your total sales.
If it looks way off, drop us a line at hello@mercht.com and we can take a look into it for you.
Campaign profits will be available for you to request a payout 48 hours after your campaign completes successfully.
We leave this gap to enable us to chase up any payments that didn't go through, and ensure all of your customers orders are paid up.
After this time, you can request a payout in the My Account area on the website, or by clicking through from your campaign success email.
Payouts get actioned within 2 working days of being requested, and you can see whether the payment has been made in the My Account area on the website (you'll also get a notification email when we have made the payment!)
If there are any garments that are out of stock with our suppliers when your campaign completes we allow 48 hours for buyers to confirm if they would like an alternative garment or a refund. This will mean that the option to request your payout may be delayed by up to 48 hours.
Sure you do, it's income the same as any other. For advice on this, you can check the HMRC website at https://www.gov.uk/income-tax/overview or your country's equivalent if you are outside the UK.
